The NFL trade deadline has come and gone without much happening on the day of but a lot of trades in the day leading up to it. Here are some of the winners from the trade deadline.
Winner: Tennessee Titans
The Titans might be one of the biggest winners from the deadline. They were able to acquire cornerback Desmond King from the Los Angeles Chargers for a 6th round pick according to Ian Rapoport. This a big pick up for a team that is struggling on defense and is currently on a two-game losing streak after winning their first five games. The Titans are 27th in the NFL in passing defense.
Winner: Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks have been one of the worst pass rushing teams in the NFL this season but they were able to trade for Bengals pass rusher Carlos Dunlap. The Seahawks traded offensive lineman B.J. Finney and a 2021 seventh-round pick for the veteran pass rusher according to Adam Schefter. This will give the Seahawks a boost for a defensive line that only has 12 sacks on the season.
Loser: Green Bay Packers
The Packers and the Texans were unable to agree on a potential trade for speedy wide receiver Will Fuller. This was a big loss for the Packers as they were unable to get quarterback Aaron Rodgers another big-time weapon to throw to. They still have Davonte Adams, but after that, they are very thin at wide receiver especially with Allen Lazard still out of the lineup.
